The Lyric Lounge arrives in Lincoln on Saturday 27th August when the Lounge will be open from 11am for lyrical festivities.

Work on your writing skills with workshops from top class poets and performers.
Get up on the Open Mic – first timers welcome.

All the daytime events are free.  Tickets for the evening session, which features young people from the Lincoln Youth Slam Group performing alongside Jean Binta Breeze, Lemn Sissay, Steve Cawte (Writers Collective) Chris ‘Ventriloquist’ Redmond (creator of Tongue Fu), Michael Brome and the Tongue Fu Band are just £3.

Join artist Marion Sander for a Carnival inspired mask making workshop.
2pm – 3.30pm – Write your own material with poet Michael Brome (aka Sureshot) and then stay and perform on the open mic session!

11am - Charity Shop DJ Come and flick through a selection of old vinyl.  Look at them, select them, reminisce and have your choices played.
12noonPennyless – harmony songs, Irish jigs and American Old Timey.
12.30pm - Jean ‘Binta’ Breeze, Lyric Lounge Patron introduces and performs.
1pm – Spoken word artist Michael Brome (aka Sureshot)
