Tongue Fu
Tongue Fu is one of the liveliest and best-attended poetry nights in England, at which performance poets mix it up with the Tongue Fu Band (UNKLE, Graham Coxon) who conjure improvised soundtracks in every style imaginable. Tongue Fu is all about risk taking, coaxing poets, band and audiences to take the leap into unchartered territories – it’s raw, un-rehearsed, spontaneous and frequently brilliant as a result. Tongue Fu is founded and co-hosted by poet and musician Chris ‘Ventriloquist’ Redmond, and Poet-In-Residence Shane Solanki. Poets who have performed at Tongue Fu included Scroobius Pip, Dizraeli, Kate Tempest, Polar Bear, Zena Edwards, Ross Sutherland, Salena Godden and Luke Wright.
